Overall Instructions

  1. Manicure and prepare nail as usual; file, shape, buff, etc.
  2. Use “Prep Liquid”, brush on manicured, clean nails in long strokes. Allow to dry, at least 30 seconds depending on temperature and relative humidity. For more humid climates allow to dry a full minute.
  3. Apply “Base Gel” (Unscrew the cap avoiding close contact with eyes and nose.) to nail like a nail polish, however pay close attention to any gaps that might form and ensure those are filled.
  4. Dip the nail into the powder slowly and smoothly at a 45-degree angle. Let the nail rest in powder for at least 10 seconds, longer if the timing allows. Make sure all the surface that was coated with the Base is submerged in the powder. Do not forcefully put the finger into the powder or move quickly because this will cause a wave to appear in the Base which will create a wrinkle in the finished product. Between dips, make sure to brush excess powder off before applying a second coat of the Base with a large, dry, fluffy brush like a face powder brush.
  5. Tap excess powder off without touching or disturbing the first powder coating. After all fingers have been dipped once, use a wide powder brush to remove excess powder. If excess powder isn’t removed from the nails before the next dip, the brush of the Base will pick up the powder. It will also create an uneven surface and require more buffing after the Activator step.
  6. Repeat steps 3-4 for as many coatings as desired. Two to four coatings are applied depending on the thickness of the applied Base coating to ensure coverage.
  7. After the final powder coating is applied to the final nail, brush off excess powder again with a large powder brush. Once finished applying the Base coatings on all nails, wipe the brush containing excess cyanoacrylate onto a paper towel to extend the shelf life of the product. This ensures that as little powder as possible is introduced to the Base bottle and will help prevent the Base from becoming stringy.
  8. Then use “Shine Set Activator” by applying over the whole nail (use a generous amount). Use small, short strokes to cover the whole nail. Wait for product to evaporate, around 30 seconds. In humid climates wait an extra minute to ensure the Shine Set Activator has had time to activate the Base Gel and powder combination.
  9. Buff and shape the nails. This step is crucial to ensuring the top coat will be as shiny and devoid of any pock marks, “orange peel”, or any other surface variations which will reflect in the top and can diminish the shine. Have the client wash their hands to ensure all powder has been removed so it doesn’t get caught in the top coat.
  10. Apply another layer of the “Shine Set Activator”, and allow to dry for at least 30 seconds and up to a minute. For experienced technicians – after filing and buffing have the customer wash their hands. Then reapply the Shine Set Activator. Wait 30 seconds. Ensure the second coat of Shine Set Activator is dry before applying the top. The extra time will ensure the top cures quickly, however if applied too soon after the Shine Set Activator, the finished product can become patchy. If utilizing this step, make sure to place the brush in Brush Cleaner solution afterwards to save the brush from hardening.
  11. Apply one layer of “Super Shine Finish Gel”. The first nail should be almost dry by the time the last one is coated with Super Shine Finish Gel.
  12. After finishing applying the Super Shine Finish Gel also wipe the brush onto a paper towel to remove excess cyanoacrylate. In some cases, depending on the humidity and how long it has been since the Shine Set Activator was applied, the brush should be wiped on a paper towel between each nail.
  13. Immediately after use, place the brush in the “Brush Cleaner” bottle. The brush can be left in the Brush Cleaner bottle for 45 minutes up to 3 hours. After the brush is clean, return the brush to the cyanoacrylate bottle and store upright in a cool, dry environment.
